    Academic Exploration Open House


    The University of Mount Union is excited to launch our very first Academic Achievement Exploration! We invite you to visit campus to discover the value of Mount Union's nationally-ranked integrative core curriculum, learn about the university's interdisciplinary collaborations, and participate in a hands-on workshop with faculty and current students. Parents will have the opportunity to participate in a Q & A, and the event will conclude with lunch in our dining hall.

    Each student will have the option to participate in one of the following workshops:

    The Entrepreneurial Mindset
    Come explore the Entrepreneurial Mindset and the intersections to other disciplines on our campus. This session will focus on critical thinking, creativity techniques, and problem-solving. You will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, discover majors that benefit from an ENT minor, and interact with current students studying ENT as a minor at UMU.

    Regula Center Civic and Community Engagement
    Come learn about examples of service-learning and co-curricular service that take place on campus as well as UMU’s dedication to civic participation. Hands-on activity stations will be available for you to explore and experience a sampling of our civic and community engagement projects. You will also have the opportunity to talk with Regula Scholars about the ways in which they integrate Civic and Community Engagement with their major areas of study.

    RSM Media Makers
    Join the directors, staff, and students of Raider Student Media for an exciting Media Makers workshop. This hour-long experience will give attendees a brief look into how students create various types of media projects, including photo, video and audio, using research and skills from various academic disciplines.

    Clean and Green! Sustainable Living and Envisioning Green Careers
    Join our Green Raiders in making sustainably sourced, readily-made body wash and lip balm, while learning about what makes each ingredient green! The Raiders will discuss how they are combining their Sustainability minors with their majors across all three colleges and how they are preparing for green careers.
